Event Description:
Make plans to join us at 11:30 a.m. on 10 May at the Art Gallery in the Museum of Aviation's Eagle Building. The 10 May AIC meeting will be a joint meeting with the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA). Guest speakers, Jamie Brabston and Sheri Buchanan will address "The Most Common Service Contract Act Mistakes and How to Avoid Them".

JAMIE BRABSTON
Jamie is a Senior Legal Consultant with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. Formerly Senior Counsel with Lehr Middlebrooks Vreeland & Thompson, P.C., Jamie assists employers with compliance, problem prevention, and the analysis of complex employment law and contract related issues, as well as conducting investigations to address employee complaints. In addition, Jamie assists federal government contractors with regard to affirmative action compliance, Service Contract Act issues, the Drug Free Workplace Act, record keeping, mock compliance assessments and other issues specific to employers working with the federal government. Sheri joined Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. in December 2012 as a Human Resources Consultant. She provides HR consulting services to our customers on a wide range of issues, from specific projects to an ongoing outsourced solution of the human resources function. Sheri has experience in providing a comprehensive assessment of HR practices, establishing and implementing policies and practices, contract transition efforts/onboarding, compensation planning, executive compensation analysis for determination of reasonableness, labor category benchmarking for proposal efforts, and investigations. The Aerospace Industry Committee (AIC) of the Robins Regional Chamber holds frequent meetings where members are briefed by a Senior Manager or Project Task Leader regarding current and upcoming topics of interest at WR-ALC. In addition to the in-person briefing, the Chamber maintains an archive of information provided by guest speakers for members in good standing of the AIC.
